Put Switch In Attic

Ideally i would like to have a two state switch in the house.

Put switch in attic.

It can get about 110 in the summer or more i would imagine the attic is likely the same. There is a power outlet in the attic on the wall on a stud near that door. This is also a hard wired fixture but one operated simply by a pull string. It currently has one pull string light that has power running in it and out to a wall socket.

Through a room upstairs there is a door that opens and you can step out into the attic. Less than 30 i needed a light desperately so i could see while moving around in the attic. This is a video on how i installed an attic light in the house attic space. I would like to add a second light and a wall switch for both lights.

Fan is controlled by thermostat. Wiring for an attic light and switch hi i am trying to install a wall switch in my attic. Instead of adding just a light. Looking for some recommendations for switches that can withstand las vegas summer attic heat.

I want to install a fan in my attic. I would need to run an extension cord around a corner from that outlet in the attic to put it where i want to put it. I am putting up some ip cameras and have limited network runs to the attic so i will likely need to put a switch up there. I have a little experience in electrical work.

What i m wanting to do is keep a poe switch in the attic. I want the fan to be controlled by a thermostat in the attic but i want the ability to bypass or override the fan from within my house. If wiring a wall switch is too much trouble install a pull string light fixture preferably near the entry.
